Rock Properties from Seismic
Seismic velocity as the key to rock properties
A burgeoning interest of mine is to apply full waveform inversion for detailed P and S wave velocities for the estimation of rock properties such as: porosity, effective stress, and pore pressure.
Porosity in Cascadia
Translations from P-wave velocity to porosity can act as pseudo-wells and as iso-surfaces below seafloor to elucidate key details of the role fluids play in subduction systems.
